A Note from Fr. Phil:
We want to say thank you to God, don't we? We want to be able to give him a gift too. But what can we give to God? We can give him ourselves! At the beginning of each day we can offer our whole day, all that we do and think and say, to God our loving Father. Since Jesus his Son came to be close to us and to show us how to give our life as a gift, we can unite our daily offering with Jesus' own offering of himself to the Father. We can ask Jesus to help us to have hearts full of love just like his Sacred Heart is full of love. Isn't it great how much God loves us? Think of all the gifts he gives to us: our family, our friends, a place to live, food to eat. Best of all, Jesus gives us the gift of himself in the Eucharist.
