Boys-Praying.jpgThose who are in Christ have a share of the self-sacrificing love of Christ. We want to grow in this love. The love of God makes us desire to serve others, especially the most needy. The Morning Offering speaks to God about our longing that His will be done everywhere, especially where people are hurting and we ourselves feel powerless to help. We obey the call by offering ourselves as a "living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1). By offering this living sacrifice all our longings, works, joys, and sufferings of the day become prayers to God, so that we can truly "pray without ceasing," as St. Paul urged (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
